The Role
The Aircraft Detailer is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior appearance of aircraft to the highest standards of safety, sanitation, and aesthetics. This role involves performing precision cleaning, polishing, and detailing tasks that ensure each aircraft remains "show-ready" and compliant with FAA and manufacturer regulations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Wash, wax, and buff aircraft surfaces, including landing gear, wheels, and engine inlets to protect against corrosion and maintain a polished finish.
  • Deep-clean and sanitize aircraft cabins, including seating areas, galleys, lavatories, carpets, and windows, ensuring passenger comfort and hygiene.
  • Follow strict company and manufacturer standards and FAA safety protocols for chemical usage, equipment handling, and maintenance procedures.
  • Identify and report any structural damage, fluid leaks, or maintenance concerns discovered during cleaning operations.
  • Maintain, clean, and restock detailing supplies and tools while ensuring proper storage and usage of all cleaning products.

Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of aircraft detailing experience (preferred), with expertise in deice boot treatment, brightwork polishing, and ceramic coating.
  • OR 3-5 years of professional automotive detailing with ceramic coating experience.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts as required by flight schedules and operational needs.

Key Competencies
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a "showroom quality" finish.
  • Comfortable working in, on, and around aircraft, including climbing, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
