JOB TITLE:ย Design Engineer
LOCATION: Grand Prairie, TX
PAY RATE: $71.92/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)
  • Telework: Less than 50%

  • Shift: 4/10A โ€“ 1st Shift

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:ย 

  • Support the Material Review Board (MRB) process by reviewing non-conforming hardware, assessing performance impacts, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to resolve production and engineering issues.

  • Lead investigative efforts related to non-conforming materials, engineering discrepancies, and corrective action activities.

  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, documents, and parts lists to support manufacturing and quality initiatives.

  • Provide status updates and technical reporting to interdisciplinary teams and leadership during weekly review meetings.

  • Support aerospace manufacturing and engineering operations in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance required at start.

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree from an accredited university, preferably in an Engineering-related field.

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience with:

    • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5

    • Tolerance analysis

    • Creo design software

    • Root cause and corrective action processes

    • Reading engineering drawings, specifications, and parts lists

  • Ability to lead investigative efforts and communicate findings to cross-functional engineering teams.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.

  • Experience supporting MRB, quality, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering activities.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with security clearance requirements.
