As a Systems Engineer II within Honeywell Aerospace, you will support the development, integration, verification, and certification of Honeywell Flight Management System (FMS) solutions for the Airbus FMS program. The role involves working closely with Airbus customers, software, hardware, certification, and verification teams to define requirements, analyze system behavior, support ATP activities, and drive issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, review, and manage system requirements for Airbus Flight Management System (FMS) functionality.
  • Analyze Airbus operational requirements and ensure alignment with FMS system design.
  • Support system architecture, requirements decomposition, and interface definition activities.
  • Investigate, document, and track system observations and defects using JIRA.
  • Support integration, verification, validation, and certification activities.
  • Perform system-level troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
  • Coordinate with software, navigation, guidance, performance, and V&V teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Support customer issue investigations and technical reviews.
  • Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and compliance artifacts.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in Systems Engineering, avionics, aerospace, and/or embedded systems development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

WE VALUE
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with Flight Management Systems (FMS), Flight Guidance, Navigation, or Avionics systems is of value.
  • Experience with ATP/customer demonstration activities.
  • Knowledge of ARP4754A, DO-178C, and aerospace development processes.
  • Experience with DOORS, JIRA, and requirements management tools.
