Job description

Position Summary: The Range Safety Officer assists, plans, directs and supervises the camps target range program.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff and campers for the safe operation of the facility and program
  • Complete staff training
  • Conduct daily facility and equipment checks for safety and cleanliness, report any issues
  • Maintain course records
  • Ability to teach the use of and maintain archery and air rifle equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Minimum 1 (one) year training and experience in target sports

Computer Skills:

  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office 365
  • Knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
  • Willingness to learn new software as needed

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed
  • Current certification in TSAO Basic Archery Instructor and Basic Air Rifle Instructor
