Job Description
AECOM is seeking an experienced Air Quality Engineer for immediate employment at our Chelmsford, MA office. This position is within our air permitting and compliance group.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Preparation of air permit application packages
  • Air permitting strategy development
  • Air regulatory review and compliance
  • Preparation of air emission inventories
  • Prepare proposals and cost estimates
  • Work closely with clients to develop strategies that will aid the client in maintaining compliance and operational flexibility while meeting client's expectations related to scope, budget, schedule and quality
  • Must have strong communication and technical writing skills, and strong math and computer skills
  • Ability to work well in teams.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil or chemical engineering or similar field +4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education
  • 4 years of air quality permitting and regulatory compliance experience
  • Valid Driver's License and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
  • Air Permitting Experience
  • Due to the nature of work, US citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Business development experience including proposal development
  • Experience interpreting and implementing State and Federal air quality regulations
  • 6+ years of air quality permitting and regulatory compliance experience
