Job description

Facilities Maintenance Technician II | $24.00-$35.00/hour


The Facilities and Maintenance Technician II is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our production equipment, facility systems, buildings, and grounds. This role performs a variety of preventive and corrective maintenance activities such as troubleshooting, repairing, cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining our machinery, equipment, and facility infrastructure. In addition to technical expertise, the Facilities and Maintenance Technician II demonstrates a proactive approach to their job while maintaining a high degree of personal integrity, accountability, and professionalism.


Hours: Monday & Friday 7:00am-3:30pm AND Tuesday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm


Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and general repairs on equipment, facility systems, buildings, offices, common areas, and grounds.
  • Prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks based on work orders and production requirements while minimizing machine downtime.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Assist with the installation, setup, and modification of manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and maintenance-related projects. Identify machine and facility safety concerns; document findings, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
  • Monitor, maintain, and coordinate vendor services for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and other facility systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work orders, maintenance records, inspection reports, and inventory levels.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, and all other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Provide maintenance and machine operation training to staff when necessary.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in maintenance technology.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including short-term cross-functional support as needed.


Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial or facilities maintenance
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems
  • Understanding of workplace safety practices
  • Valid driver's license
  • Forklift (Hi-Lo) certification and operating experience preferred
