2026 Salary Range: $89,508-$138,370 Yearly (Includes locality pay)

Who May Apply: This position is open to current Department of the Air Force (DAF) employees only.
The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as a professional electronics engineer with project management, execution, and operational responsibility in assigned area(s). Considered the technical expert for the organization in electronics engineering assignments concerning Electronic Warfare Systems; employee provides technical leadership and management to ensure project/program success. Work encompasses several phases of the development process in which the employee guides and evaluates the design and development activities of others.
Mission Statement: Provides engineering support for the sustainment of 407 SCMS managed Electronic Warfare items through the execution of supply chain spares buys, repairs, and engineering services.
Requirements:
1. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
2. Obtain & maintain a Security clearance (if applicable).
3. No PCS expenses will be paid.
4. Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty.
5. May be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours.
6. An engineering degree at the bachelor's level from an institution with an ABET accredited program in Electronics Engineering or a closely related field is highly desired.
Recruitment Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
1. Knowledge of professional electronics engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services.
2. Knowledge of development testing and evaluation sufficient to apply experimental theories and new applications to issues and provide technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment.
3. Knowledge of integrated air-vehicles, ground systems, and support equipment sufficient to plan, design, test, troubleshoot, evaluate, and oversee the development and/or sustainment of electronic systems or devices.
4. Knowledge of the principles of planning and program management; standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures; and other engineering disciplines.
5. Ability to devise and evaluate criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for design approaches, and to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes.
6. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, contractors, academia, and other agencies.
