Job description

Synectic Solutions isseekingSystems Engineer (Journeyman)to support the Advanced Tactical Aircraft Protection Systems Program Office (PMA-272) at NAS Patuxent River in Lexington Park, MD. PMA-272 manages the development, acquisition and sustainment of operational advances in aircraft survivability equipment. This position will support the Distributed Aperture Infrared Countermeasures (DIARCM) aircraft protection systems for the Assault Integrated Product Team (IPT). The DAIRCM missile-defense system is for helicopters and other aircraft to defeat vehicle-launched infrared-guided missiles and man-portable air-defense systems. It also can detect laser-guided threats and hostile fire near helicopters. This is an in-person on-site position at NAS Patuxent River and not eligible for telework.
