About the Opportunity

Air-Heat Mechanical Contractors is hiring an HVAC Installation Helper to work alongside our lead installers on commercial and light commercial projects throughout the Metro Atlanta area.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who is dependable, mechanically inclined, and serious about building a career in HVAC. Prior HVAC experience is welcome, but it is not required. We are willing to teach the right person who shows up ready to work, asks questions, and takes pride in learning the trade.
Applicants who already have installation experience are also encouraged to apply and will be compensated according to their skills and experience.
What You'll Do

•      Assist lead installers with the installation and replacement of split systems, packaged rooftop units (RTUs), ductwork, exhaust systems, and related HVAC equipment.
•      Load, unload, and stage materials; prepare work areas; and help set, level, support, and secure equipment and components.
•      Assist with sheet metal and ductwork assembly, installation, sealing, insulation, and support work.
•      Help install refrigerant piping, condensate drains, wiring, controls, and accessories under the direction of a lead installer.
•      Remove old equipment and materials while keeping jobsites clean, orderly, and safe.
•      Follow instructions, company procedures, manufacturer requirements, and all jobsite safety rules.
•      Learn proper installation practices, tool use, equipment layout, startup support, and jobsite organization.
What We're Looking For

•      Reliable transportation to report to the shop or assigned jobsite each day.
•      Dependable attendance, punctuality, a strong work ethic, and a genuine interest in learning HVAC installation.
•      Ability to follow directions, work as part of a crew, and accept coaching from experienced installers.
•      Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to use hand and power tools safely.
•      Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, access rooftops, and work in indoor and outdoor jobsite conditions.
•      Professional conduct and respect for customers, coworkers, and customer property.
Experience and Growth

No previous HVAC experience is required for an entry-level candidate with the right attitude and reliability. Experience with HVAC installation, ductwork, construction, sheet metal, electrical work, or similar mechanical work is a plus.
This role offers the chance to learn hands-on, earn certifications, and take on greater responsibility as your skills grow.
Why Join Air-Heat Mechanical Contractors?

Air-Heat Mechanical Contractors is an independently owned and operated business focused on quality work and long-term relationships. We want to develop skilled crews and give dependable people room to grow. Helpers who put in the effort are treated as future installers and valued team members, not simply as extra labor.
We offer:
•      Paid time off
•      Paid holidays
•      Paid training and certification opportunities
•      Experience-based compensation
•      Hands-on learning from experienced installers with room to advance within the trade
