Position: Playground Aide
Salary Schedule/Base Hourly Rate (Subject to Change): Support Staff Schedule/$15.15
Work Calendar: 10 months, 185 days
Hours: 2 hours/day
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

About the Role
The Playground Aide supervises students on the playground, in the cafeteria, and in other assigned areas. In addition, the employee encourages student activities that will contribute toward the health, safety, and desirable social skills and habits of the students while on the school playground, during the lunch period, and at other assigned times and locations. The employee will also fulfill other related duties as required or assigned. The Playground Aide will administer safety rules with students and make sure they follow all school guidelines and rules. Act as a mediator when needed to de-escalate issues between students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  1. Employee supervises students on the playground, in the cafeteria, and in other areas as assigned.
  2. In addition, the employee encourages student activities that will contribute toward the health, safety, and desirable social skills and habits of the students during the lunch period, and at other assigned times and locations.
  3. The employee will also fulfill other related duties as required or assigned.

  • Must have or be able to obtain an IVPP Fingerprint Clearance card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety
