Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct engaging individual therapy sessions with clients, utilizing evidence-based modalities tailored to their therapeutic needs.
  • Facilitate couples therapy sessions focusing on enhancing communication, resolving conflicts, and rebuilding trust.
  • Work with families to address communication breakdowns and profound relationship dynamics, guiding them through challenging situations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, actively involving clients in setting their therapy goals.
  • Assess and diagnose a range of mental health disorders using standardized assessment tools and clinical judgment.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and community resources, to provide holistic care and ensure comprehensive support.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LMFT at Amity to Life Psychotherapy Center, you will serve a diverse clientele, including individuals seeking help for anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. The center primarily focuses on clients from the New Bedford area who may be facing socio-economic challenges. You will be instrumental in providing culturally competent care tailored to the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Massachusetts.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in outpatient therapy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate with colleagues effectively.
  • Proficiency in teletherapy platforms and electronic health record systems.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural competence in therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 90,000, commensurate with experience.
