Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive and ongoing assessments to accurately identify the mental health needs of clients and determine the most effective treatment strategies.
  • Serve as a pivotal communication link among supervisors, direct care staff, family members, guardians, and other stakeholders, particularly regarding a clientโ€™s mental health progress.
  • Develop and provide a tentative schedule to supervisors that outlines appointments, home visits, and observations needed for monitoring client advancement.
  • Coordinate home visits designed to meet the requirements for observational assessments, including chart reviews and direct staff interviews as well as perform data analysis to inform treatment plans.
  • Ensure that the implementation of program plans is executed effectively and adheres to best practices in mental health treatment.
  • Participate actively in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings and contribute insights that enhance collaborative treatment efforts.
  • Complete monthly and quarterly progress notes to document client advancements and treatment modifications.
  • Organize and lead training sessions to ensure staff and team members possess the necessary competencies to implement designated program plans and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Conduct follow-up interviews and additional home visits to provide ongoing support tailored to the evolving needs of each individual.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records to facilitate access to relevant client information for caregivers and other interested parties.
  • Act as a liaison with the public and the mental health community, providing resources and support that help define community development goals.
  • Contribute to the crafting of procedures and training materials aimed at enhancing program efficacy for clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with Atlantic Health P.C., you will engage with a diverse array of clients, including adult and youth populations. Through a client-centered approach, you will provide individualized care that considers each client's unique circumstances and backgrounds. This role emphasizes the importance of understanding the cultural, social, and psychological factors that influence mental health outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is mandatory.
  • An active and unrestricted licensure as a Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maryland is required.
  • A minimum of two years of counseling experience in a clinical context is essential.
  • Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse, or trauma is highly preferred to enhance our treatment offerings.
