Job description


As a Reliability Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace, you will lead evaluation efforts to analyze, improve, and ensure the reliability and durability of new aerospace products and systems, driving innovation and excellence in product performance and customer satisfaction.
You will report directly to our Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Clearwater, FL location on a hybrid work schedule.
Note: New hires are expected to report on-site 100% M-F for the first 90 days of employment.
In this role, you will impact the successful development and lifecycle management of new product designs of aerospace hardware and systems by applying advanced reliability engineering principles, contributing to Honeywell Aerospace Aerospace's leadership in aerospace technology and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Support reliability analysis and testing activities to identify potential failure modes and improve product robustness before going into production
  • Ensure compliance with product and customer requirements
  • Develop and implement reliability growth plans and predictive maintenance strategies for aerospace hardware
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and quality to enhance product reliability and compliance with aerospace standards
  • Lead in Failure Review and Corrective Action (FRACA) and Failure Review Boards (FRBs)
  • Summarize and present findings to customers

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • 1+ experience with circuit analysis, circuit design, or schematics
  • 1+ familiarity with aerospace government and industry standards and regulatory requirements related to reliability and safety

WE VALUE
  • Acquaintance with reliability analysis methods, failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), determination of part stresses, and root cause analysis techniques
  • Experience in electrical system reliability engineering, preferably in aerospace or high reliability industries
  • Proficiency with reliability prediction software tools and statistical analysis software such as Matlab, Weibull++, ReliaSoft, and Minitab
  • Advanced degree or experience in Electrical Reliability Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
  • Experience with embedded systems and hardware lifecycle management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality management systems
  • Excellent communication skills with presentation experience
  • Proven writing and troubleshooting skills
