Packer Operator - 2nd Shift
Schedule: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM?
Pay Rate: $29.54 per hour
Position Summary
Join the Land O'Lakes manufacturing team and play a vital role in producing high-quality animal nutrition products that support farmers, producers, and animal owners across the country. As a Packer Operator, you will be responsible for operating production and packaging equipment, monitoring product quality, and ensuring finished goods are packaged accurately and efficiently.
This position is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business, a leader in innovative nutritional products and solutions that help animals live healthier, more productive lives.

Key Responsibilities
Operate packaging and production equipment safely and efficiently.
Monitor product quality and ensure all products meet company and regulatory standards.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality requirements, and production schedules.
Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation, both electronic and paper-based.
Ensure finished products are packaged correctly and prepared for shipment.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Work collaboratively with operators, maintenance personnel, leads, and supervisors to meet production goals.
Assist with troubleshooting equipment and production issues.
Learn and utilize automation systems, including the Repete Automation System.
Support continuous improvement efforts and help maintain efficient production flow.
Assist other team members as needed and perform additional duties assigned by leadership.

Required Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
Basic computer proficiency.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations using a calculator.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.

1+ year of manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial experience.
Previous machine operation experience.
Forklift experience or willingness to become certified.

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds from floor level to a height of 50 inches using proper lifting techniques.
Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, push, pull, climb, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
Ability to work at elevated heights, including platforms, bins, and production equipment.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the workday.
Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including hot, cold, dusty, and manufacturing settings.
