Job description

Stanbridge University is seeking a Financial Aid Officer to join our vibrant academic community. As a Financial Aid Officer, you will play a vital role in helping our students achieve their educational goals by providing valuable financial aid guidance and assistance. As a Financial Aid Officer, you will be a key part of this collaborative effort, ensuring that our students have the financial resources they need to succeed.

Essential Functions:
  • Assist students in navigating the financial aid process, including completing applications, verifying documents, and submitting required forms.
  • Conduct financial aid presentations and individual counseling sessions to ensure students understand their financial options and responsibilities.
  • Evaluate student financial aid applications to determine eligibility for various federal, state, and institutional aid programs.
  • Maintain accurate and complete student financial aid records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other university departments to resolve complex financial aid issues and provide excellent service to students.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in financial aid regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of financial aid policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as finance, accounting, or education.
  • Previous experience in a financial aid or student services role within higher education.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state financial aid programs and regulations.

Conditions of Employment:
