SCOPE:

Aid in parts sourcing, quoting, PO processing and technical assistance as needed to parts department.

EDUCATION:

The incumbent will have an associate’s degree in engineering/technology, Quality or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE/ REQUIREMENTS:

General Knowledge of metric drawings, clearances and tolerances, assembly drawings, material specifications and deviations.

General Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques for stamping presses.

Knowledge of stamping presses including complete and sub-assemblies, transfer systems, coil feeders, and de-stack feeders. Understand the functions of all aspects of stamping presses.

Knowledge of mechanical drive systems, pneumatic, hydraulic, rigging, electrical control and wiring.

General knowledge of sales and purchasing aspects of AAC business system 

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Provide technical support to the Parts Department while providing solutions to technical issues which may arise within the group

Assist with receiving and responding promptly to customer requests and resolve customer issues in a timely manner. Assure all customer concerns, issues, questions, are resolved daily

Use and understand the AE drawing network system to provide assembly, sub assembly, and component drawings when required

Use the business information system to issue customer quotes, process orders, and prepare pick-pack slips

Provide technical support on component drawings and material specifications as required

Aid in the quotation process for parts or technical orders as required

Participate with call center rotation (typically every third week). Includes weekend coverage

Process all incoming customer Purchase Orders. Assure orders are processed and turned into Purchasing daily if necessary

Assist with spare part Purchasing quotations from suppliers as needed

Source parts / find new suppliers

Act as liaison between QA and suppliers

Participating in supplier certification process 

Work with engineering and supplier to ensure all changes are implemented and understood 

Expense reports, time sheets and work orders must be submitted per department policy and in accordance with the Associate Handbook
