Moog's Corporate Group is looking for aCorporate AI Security Engineerto join our Cyber Security Team!

As the Corporate AI Security Engineer, you will lead the implementation, oversight, and continuous improvement of Moog's enterprise AI Assurance and Monitoring Program. You will serve as a key subject matter expert responsible for ensuring the secure, compliant, and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence technologies across the organization, including internally authorized Large Language Models (LLMs) and third-party AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot.

In this role, you will partner closely with Cyber Security, IT, Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders to establish governance practices, monitor AI usage, identify emerging risks, and ensure adherence to corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and data protection standards. You will also support the organization's AI adoption efforts through education, guidance, reporting, and assurance activities.

Applicants must live local to the Buffalo, NY area, be willing to relocate, or be able to support a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office) at Moog's East Aurora headquarters.

This position requires access to data subject to U.S. government citizenship restrictions.

To qualify for the Corporate AI Security Engineer role, here is what we would expect you to bring to Moog...

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred

  • Typically, three (3) to five (5) years of experience in Cyber Security, Information Security Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), or a related discipline

  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), and associated security and governance risks

  • Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), NIST 800-53, NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF), ISO 27001, or similar frameworks

  • Understanding of data protection principles including data classification, data loss prevention (DLP), and privacy regulations

  • Experience monitoring, auditing, and enforcing technology usage policies within enterprise environments

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and AI-enabled technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, and SaaS-based AI solutions

  • Knowledge of third-party vendor risk management, particularly related to AI technologies and data handling practices

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks, evaluate controls, and recommend effective mitigations

  • Experience creating executive-level reports, dashboards, metrics, and assurance reporting

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across IT, Cyber Security, Legal, Compliance, and business functions

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and educate on evolving AI security topics

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced technology environment

  • Knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and CMMC regulations preferred

  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or AI/security-related certifications preferred

As the Corporate AI Security Engineer, you will...

  • Implement, maintain, and continuously improve Moog's enterprise AI Assurance and Monitoring Program

  • Support the development and maintenance of policies, standards, and procedures governing the use of internal and third-party AI technologies

  • Monitor and enforce the approved use of AI tools across the enterprise, ensuring compliance with corporate cyber security and governance requirements

  • Verify that unauthorized AI software, tools, and services are not installed, accessed, or used within production environments

  • Partner with IT, Cyber Security, and Operating Group teams to identify, investigate, and remediate unauthorized AI usage

  • Design, implement, and maintain controls to monitor AI usage, including logging, auditing, and alerting capabilities

  • Identify potential data leakage, misuse, policy violations, and other AI-related security risks

  • Prepare and deliver monthly AI Assurance reports detailing AI usage trends, compliance posture, control effectiveness, and key risks

  • Collaborate with Cyber Security, IT, Legal, Compliance, Data Management, and business stakeholders to establish and enforce AI governance standards

  • Provide guidance and best practices supporting the secure adoption and use of AI technologies across the enterprise

  • Assess risks associated with AI technologies, including data exposure, model behavior, prompt injection, and third-party vendor risks

  • Coordinate remediation and mitigation activities to address identified AI security and compliance concerns

  • Support the development and delivery of AI security awareness training and educational materials

  • Provide Operating Groups and business stakeholders with reporting on compliance gaps and remediation opportunities

  • Partner with Security Operations and IT teams to investigate incidents involving AI misuse, policy violations, or security events

  • Continuously evaluate emerging AI threats, vulnerabilities, technologies, and regulatory developments to enhance assurance and security strategies

  • Serve as a liaison between the AI Enablement Committee, Cyber Security, IT, and business stakeholders to promote responsible AI adoption and governance
