Senior Cloud AI Architect

Location: Metro Atlanta, GA (Local Candidates Only) Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

Strategic MindZ LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud AI Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise cloud and AI solutions supporting State government initiatives. This role combines expertise in AWS cloud architecture, AI/ML technologies, enterprise application modernization, and technical leadership to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant solutions.

The successful candidate will work closely with GTA, State Agencies, executive stakeholders, architects, and development teams to design cloud-native applications, modernize legacy systems, implement AI solutions, and establish enterprise architecture standards. This position also provides technical leadership, mentors engineering teams, and ensures cloud and AI solutions align with security, governance, and responsible AI best practices.

Responsibilities

Design and implement enterprise AWS cloud and AI/ML architectures.

Lead application modernization and cloud migration initiatives.

Develop scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions across public, private, and hybrid environments.

Design AI/ML solutions, including Generative AI, LLMs, and intelligent chatbot technologies.

Evaluate and recommend cloud platforms, AI frameworks, and emerging technologies.

Design enterprise integrations for cloud and AI solutions.

Ensure compliance with security, governance, and responsible AI standards.

Collaborate with GTA, State Agencies, business stakeholders, and technical teams throughout the solution lifecycle.

Establish architecture standards, conduct design reviews, and provide technical guidance.

Mentor architects and engineers while supporting multiple projects simultaneously.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in enterprise application design, solution architecture, and information technology.

5+ years of enterprise software architecture experience within the IT/software development industry.

5+ years of hands-on application architecture, including application development and modernization.

5+ years designing solutions on AWS or other public cloud platforms.

Experience designing and evaluating public, private, and hybrid cloud architectures (IaaS, PaaS, and cloud-native services).

3+ years designing and implementing AI/ML solutions in cloud or hybrid environments.

Experience with Generative AI, LLM deployment, AI chatbots, machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.

Experience using AI platforms such as AWS SageMaker, Azure Machine Learning, Google Vertex AI, and PyTorch.

Knowledge of AI ethics, bias mitigation, and responsible AI frameworks.

Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and executive teams.

Experience mentoring technical staff and leading enterprise architecture initiatives.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field; or

Equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Required Certification)

Additional AWS, Azure, GCP, or AI specialty certifications

Experience supporting State, Local, or Federal Government agencies
