What careers can I get in AI?

Careers in AI include roles such as AI engineer, machine learning engineer, data scientist, AI researcher, and AI software developer. These positions typically require skills in programming languages like Python, knowledge of machine learning frameworks, and understanding of algorithms and data analysis. Certifications in AI or data science can also enhance job prospects.

What is an AI program?

AI programs are software applications designed to simulate human intelligence processes such as learning, reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making. They use algorithms, data, and computational power to perform tasks that typically require human intelligence, including language understanding, image recognition, and decision automation. AI programs can be found in various industries, powering technologies like virtual assistants, recommendation systems, and automated customer service. Their capabilities are continually evolving as advancements in machine learning and data processing occur.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an AI program manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as an AI Program Manager, you need a solid background in computer science, project management, and a strong understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, often supported by a relevant degree and certifications like PMP or Agile. Familiarity with technical tools such as JIRA, Python, machine learning frameworks, and cloud platforms is typically required. Job Description

How Do You Fit In?

At Fabletics, we believe AI is transforming how work gets done. As our AI Project Manager, you'll help turn that potential into reality.

You'll partner with teams across the business to uncover opportunities where AI can eliminate friction, improve productivity, and enable smarter ways of working. From the first conversation through pilot, rollout, and adoption, you'll help move ideas into measurable business impact.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, technology, and change management. You'll spend as much time understanding people and processes as you will testing new AI tools and workflows.

We're looking for a builder, not just a coordinator.

Someone who sees a problem and instinctively starts figuring out how to solve it. Someone who enjoys experimenting, learns quickly, takes ownership, and isn't afraid to challenge the status quo. You don't wait for perfect direction. You create clarity from ambiguity, connect the right people, and keep momentum moving.

You don't need to be an AI expert on day one. Tools can be taught. What matters most is curiosity, initiative, creativity, and the drive to experiment, connect dots, and turn messy problems into better ways of working.

This position reports to the AI Program Director.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with business teams to understand how work gets done today and identify opportunities where AI can create measurable business value.

  • Lead AI initiatives from discovery through pilot, rollout, adoption, and continuous improvement.

  • Transform ambiguous ideas into clear project plans, priorities, timelines, owners, and actionable next steps.

  • Help keep the AI program organized by managing priorities, tracking initiatives, and ensuring work moves forward across multiple projects.

  • Develop executive-ready updates, dashboards, presentations, and status reports that communicate the impact, progress, and priorities of the AI team.

  • Track priorities, dependencies, risks, blockers, decisions, and key milestones to keep projects and the overall AI roadmap on track.

  • Stay flexible as business needs evolve, helping the AI team reassess priorities, adapt plans, and shift focus when higher-impact opportunities emerge.

  • Experiment with AI tools, prompts, agents, automations, and emerging technologies to identify practical business applications.

  • Design and improve workflows that help teams work faster, smarter, and more effectively.

  • Build and maintain playbooks, documentation, communications, and operating processes that help scale the AI function across the business.

  • Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, project updates, and training that drive alignment and adoption.

  • Partner with IT, Security, and Learning & Development to support responsible AI governance, education, and enterprise adoption.

  • Share best practices, lessons learned, and emerging opportunities that help scale AI across Fabletics.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in project management, operations, consulting, business transformation, product, or another fast-paced environment.

  • A proven ability to bring structure to ambiguity and move ideas from concept to execution.

  • A proactive, ownership-driven mindset. You naturally jump into problems, figure things out, and drive progress without waiting to be asked.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to balance multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex ideas for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

  • A curious, growth-oriented mindset. You enjoy learning, experimenting, and continuously improving.

  • Good instincts for when to add structure, when to keep things lightweight, and how to keep work moving without overcomplicating it.

  • A practical approach to AI. You care less about hype and more about solving real business problems and delivering measurable outcomes.

  • Ideal candidate brings foundational AI literacy, including experience using generative AI tools, and a proactive mindset to experiment with new technologies to drive productivity and innovation.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI tools, automation, workflow design, digital transformation, or business process improvement.

  • Familiarity with prompt engineering, AI agents, low-code automation, or emerging workplace technologies.

  • Experience leading workshops, change management, or organizational adoption initiatives.

  • Experience creating playbooks, process maps, dashboards, executive presentations, or training materials.

  • Experience working across technical, operational, and business teams.

Why You'll Love This Role

This isn't a traditional project management role.

You'll help shape how AI transforms one of the world's leading digitally native retail brands. Every week you'll solve new business problems, experiment with emerging technologies, collaborate with teams across the company, and help define the future of how work gets done at Fabletics.

If you're energized by solving problems, building from scratch, connecting people, and turning ideas into real impact, you'll thrive here.
