Job description

Join a company where your science will directly shape the future of cancer immunotherapy

Who We Are

EvolveImmune Therapeutics is a privately-held, next-generation immuno-oncology company pioneering a new class of T cell engager therapies to transform cancer patient outcomes compared to current immunotherapies. Our first-in-category biotherapeutic EVOLVE platform utilizes integrated T cell costimulation to directly target tumor cells to deliver durable anti-tumor adaptive immune responses. Our lead asset, EVOLVE104, entered clinical trials in late 2025. Additional collaboration pipeline programs (with Abbvie) and wholly owned programs are progressing toward candidate nomination. EvolveImmune’s team consists of ~50 FTEs in R&D, business development, people & culture, finance and operations. Our newly expanded, state-of-the-art 20,000+ square foot laboratory and office space located in the New Haven, CT biotechnology corridor is convenient to the amenities of the Connecticut shoreline, the city of New Haven and easy travel options throughout the Boston/New York City corridor.

We're hiring a Principal Scientist to join our Biotherapeutics group focused on designing and advancing first-in-class immune-engaging biologics. If you’re a protein engineer with expertise in computational protein design with experimental experience in protein discovery and optimization through antibody display technologies with an interest in advancing drug candidate toward first-in-patient evaluation, this role offers real opportunity, purpose, and scientific challenge.

What You’ll Work on

  • Design and optimize novel antibody-based multispecifics targeting domains using AI/ML-model-based de novo sequence discovery
  • Lead antibody engineering and antibody display-based screening from idea to experimental execution including screening, hit prioritization, and initial characterization.
  • Optimize developability in lead optimization through computational and biophysical insights
  • Expand company computational protein design tools and capabilities
  • Collaborate across functional teams to support candidate selection and preclinical development
  • Present findings in a clear, compelling way to multidisciplinary teams
  • Mentor junior scientists and help shape our growing discovery efforts

_______________________________________

What You Bring

  • PhD in biochemistry, computational biology, or structural biology, and postdoctoral fellowship in a related field with 5+ years of antibody and biotherapeutic engineering industry experience
  • Foundation in protein design and molecular modeling using AI/ML
  • Yeast or alternative antibody display technologies experience from design through screening
  • Expertise in bispecific or multispecific protein design, expression, purification, and biophysical characterization
  • Strong communication, data interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration skills

________________________________________

What You’ll Gain

  • A hands-on, high-impact role shaping the design of next-generation immunotherapies
  • Opportunity to see your work move rapidly from concept to clinic
  • A visible position within the Biotherapeutics team, contributing directly to platform and pipeline innovation
  • A chance to collaborate across disciplines and influence key program decisions
  • Professional growth through exposure to diverse scientific challenges and cross-functional projects
