Position Summary:
The Center for Online and Continuing Education (COCE) at Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Multimedia Specialist I in Boca Raton, FL.

The Center for Online and Continuing Education (COCE) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multimedia Specialist I to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Director of Multimedia and Innovation, you will join a high-energy, collaborative team dedicated to producing high-quality online course content. From virtual production studio recordings to innovative AI-assisted post-production, your work will directly impact the learner's experience.
Production & Technical Execution:
  • End-to-End Production: Manage all phases of video production, including pre-production planning, filming, and post-production editing for diverse multimedia projects.
  • Field & Studio Operations: Conduct on-location and studio recordings; manage the transportation, setup, and teardown of equipment.
  • AI Workflow Integration: Proactively research and implement generative AI tools (text-to-video, AI voiceovers, image generation) to streamline production timelines and enhance visual storytelling.
  • Technical Support: Troubleshooting computer hardware and video production tools to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Training & Facilitation: Develop and lead both live and pre-recorded training sessions for staff and faculty.
  • Media Accessibility: Manage content embedding, network share organization, and the processing of captions to ensure accessibility standards are met.

Collaboration & Customer Support:
  • Collaborate with the instructional design team to conceptualize creative solutions for complex learning needs.
  • Remain adaptable to a fast-paced, frequently changing environment, taking on other duties as assigned by leadership.
  • Provide expertise and consultation on multimedia best practices, accessibility standards, and emerging technologies to faculty and staff.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (or higher) from an accredited institution in a relevant field of specialization.
At least 2 years of professional video production experience.
Adobe Creative Suite: Proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
Experience with cinema cameras, DSLRs, GoPro/360° cameras, and professional lighting/audio equipment.
