Job description

Basic Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in STEM related discipline and a minimum of 10 years of professional level experience
• Around 5 years of experience developing and using modeling and simulation software in heterogeneous, multi-platform environments
• Working with HPC users workflow for mod/sim problems and GUIs
• Knowledge of High Performance Computing (HPC) environment and related technologies
• Demonstrated proficiency with Fortran, C, and/or C++
• Demonstrated proficiency with BASH and Korn
• Linux Operating System proficiency, ability to solve end-user computer system problems while working independently in a lab environment.
• Proficiency in basic software practices such as coding standards, unit testing, and configuration management
• Strong ability to analyze, debug, and maintain the integrity of an existing code base
• Experience designing and delivering training workshops, tutorials, or onboarding material for HPC users and internal staff • Active Top Secret/SCI with a CI Poly to start.
Desired Skills • Experience mentoring junior engineers or scientists, providing technical guidance, and conducting code review sessions
• Revision control software (CVS, SVN, Git)
• Build/install tools (e.g. CMake, Makefile, autoconf)
• Experience with Python and Perl
• GPU programming experience (e.g., CUDA, OpenCL)
• Agile process and JIRA
• AI/ML/Neural Networks experience
• Good organization skills to balance and prioritize work
