Job description

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking an AI/ML Software Engineer for a leading Defense & Intelligence Technology innovator in Sarasota, FL.
This role is designed for a high-drive engineer with a deep foundation in machine learning and its practical application to complex signal processing and SIGINT (Signals Intelligence). You will be responsible for designing and deploying AI/ML solutions that address critical decision-making needs for the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. From analyzing time-series data to developing autonomous sensing systems, you will build adaptive, secure architectures capable of discovering features and inferring system states in dynamic, real-world environments.
Job Responsibilities
  • SIGINT Engineering: Design and implement AI/ML solutions for event characterization, pattern recognition, and anomaly detection within SIGINT sensor systems.
  • Autonomous Systems: Develop and enable autonomous decision-making systems that operate with minimal human intervention in complex environments.
  • Architecture Integration: Partner with team leads to integrate ML capabilities into enterprise-level architectures, prioritizing performant processing and system maintainability.
  • Predictive Modeling: Work with time-series data to develop models for automated analysis and intelligent insights in support of critical national security missions.
  • MLOps Management: Oversee the deployment and processing pipelines, ensuring rigorous testing, validation, and security of all model deployments.
  • Feature Discovery: Infer system states from underlying data streams and create adaptive processing systems for large-scale sensing platforms.

Requirements
Education & Security (Mandatory)
  • Bachelor's degree (BS) or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a related field.
  • ACTIVE TS/SCI Clearance is REQUIRED.
  • U.S. Citizenship is REQUIRED.
Core Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional AI/ML experience (3-5 years highly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of model development and deployment using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
  • Experience with Neural Network architectures, including Deep Learning and Transformers/Attention mechanisms.
  • Solid programming background with exposure to statistical and signal analysis libraries.
  • Mastery of MLOps principles, including processing pipelines and validation protocols.
Preferred "Nice-to-Have" Skills
  • Understanding of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) fundamentals and RFML.
  • Experience with LLMs, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and RAG/Agentic systems.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and Cloud AI platforms (AWS Bedrock, Vertex AI, etc.).
  • Knowledge of adversarial ML and AI security/robustness techniques.
