Job description

Job Overview:
This role is aligned to the Coffee Operating Unit
Production Technician I - Essex Junction, VT
The Production Technician I is responsible for operating and monitoring production machinery to maximize production and maintain KDP's high standards in safety and quality. This role will also be engaged in supporting improvements to the manufacturing process in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, productivity and growth.
Shift and Schedule:
This is a full time position on:
  • D2: Friday - Sunday, with alternating Thursdays, from 6:00am - 6:15pm

Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as scheduled.
Position Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain a safe and healthy environment, demonstrating safe behaviors at all times.
  2. Understand and help drive improvement to quality systems and policies (Quality Data System, Safe Quality Food, Good Manufacturing Practices and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
  3. Learn to safely operate and monitor high-speed production equipment.
  4. Actively engage in resolving production line issues, executing and developing standard work, tracking production data, and participating in KDP's lean daily management process.
  5. Actively learn and participate in formal problem-solving processes with team members.
  6. Generate productivity and continuous improvement ideas.
  7. Demonstrate KDP values of Team First, Deliver Big, Think Bold, Being Fearless and Fair.

Total Rewards:
  • Pay starting at $24.26 per hour plus applicable shift differential.The employee will move to a higher rate of $25.46 per hour in the quarter after their 6-month anniversary.

Requirements:
  1. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and 50 pounds occasionally.
  2. Ability to bend, stretch and stand during entire shift.
  3. Ability to frequently kneel, squat, climb stairs/ladders, bend, stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions.
  4. Ability to work in a variety of temperature and humidity conditions.
