Job description

Description:

What we do

US Signal is a leading data center services provider, offering secure, reliable network, cloud hosting, colocation, data protection, and disaster recovery services — all powered by its expansive, robust fiber network. We also help customers optimize their IT resources through managed services and professional services that scale with their business.

The opportunity

US Signal is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Business Systems and AI team. This role partners with Operations, Technology, and functional stakeholders across the business to analyze workflows, surface improvement opportunities, and translate business needs into clear documentation and actionable recommendations that help the organization make better decisions about how to invest in its systems and processes.

About the role

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will work directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, map current-state workflows, and prepare structured analysis that helps leaders decide when to fix a process, adjust how a system is used, or define requirements for something new. You will report to the Chief of AI and collaborate closely with Operations, Business Systems, and Technology teams.

This role does not own the improvement roadmap or make final prioritization calls — it provides the analysis, documentation, and options that make those decisions possible. It is the right fit for someone who enjoys getting into the details of how work actually happens, can translate messy business problems into clear documentation, and communicates well across technical and non-technical audiences.

What you'll do

  • Gather Requirements and Document Business Needs: Meet with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather requirements, clarify business needs, document current-state workflows, and define desired outcomes for process or system improvements.
  • Analyze Business Processes: Map workflows, data inputs, handoffs, system usage, and operational bottlenecks to identify root causes and practical improvement opportunities. Prepare process maps, summaries, and recommendations for manager or leadership review.
  • Support Business Systems Analysis: Document issues, enhancement requests, user impacts, and potential solution options across existing SaaS platforms, integrations, workflow tools, and business systems.
  • Support Project and Implementation Activities: Participate in cross-functional projects by preparing requirements, supporting testing and validation, coordinating stakeholder feedback, and documenting decisions, risks, and follow-up items.
  • Develop Reporting and Recommendations: Use operational data, stakeholder feedback, and process observations to summarize findings, track improvement opportunities, and develop recommendations that support prioritization and decision-
Requirements:

Who you are

You are a clear thinker who enjoys working at the intersection of business operations and technology. You ask the right questions, organize information well, and can explain complex processes in plain language. You work effectively across functional teams, adapt to changing priorities, and bring structure to ambiguous situations without needing someone to hand you a playbook.

What you bring to the team

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years in Business, Information Systems, Operations Management, Technology, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2-4+ years of experience in business analysis, business systems, operations, process improvement, project coordination, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience gathering requirements, documenting workflows, creating process maps, or preparing business analysis documentation
  • Experience participating in cross-functional projects or business process improvement initiatives
  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms, enterprise business systems, CRM, ERP, service management, quoting, billing, workflow, or similar operational platforms preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to organize information, summarize tradeoffs, and present recommendations clearly
  • Ability to travel as needed

Core competencies

  • Simplify: Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement
  • Find a Way to Win: Results Orientation, Initiative
  • Act Like an Owner: Accountability, Business Acumen

What we offer

In return for your contributions, you'll enjoy a supportive team environment, along with:

  • Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
  • Meaningful work with cross-functional visibility — your analysis directly shapes how US Signal invests in its technology and processes
  • Exposure to a modern, AI-assisted work environment
  • Remote or hybrid flexibility
  • Comprehensive benefits package including generous paid time off, 10 paid holidays, comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan with employer contribution, Group Term Life insurance covered 100% by employer, and paid volunteer time

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on location, skills, experience, and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, experience, geographic location, and internal equity. This is an exempt, salaried position.

Working conditions and physical demands

This position may be performed in either a standard office or home office environment. It requires prolonged periods of sitting, frequent use of a computer and other office equipment, effective time management in a self-directed setting, and occasional lifting of items up to 25 pounds.
