This role offers opportunities to expand technical responsibilities while contributing to continuous improvement across engineering practices and product development processes.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with an Agile engineering team to design and develop new industrial automation products, including hardware architecture, sub-circuit design, integration, and verification.
  • Program, analyze, debug, and troubleshoot electronic hardware prototypes.
  • Review and interpret electrical schematics, circuit designs, and hardware documentation.
  • Develop and maintain product design documentation, engineering specifications, and test reports.
  • Support technical investigations, including research into emerging technologies, new circuit design tools, and solutions for hardware failures.
  • Apply circuit theory and engineering fundamentals to analyze and resolve hardware design and performance issues.
  • Work with engineering peers to develop test automation, hardware simulation, and validation solutions.
  • Utilize programming languages such as Python and/or C++ to improve hardware testing and engineering workflows.
  • Perform hands-on hardware testing using equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, electronic debuggers, and other precision test instruments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a broader understanding of the end-to-end product development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to engineering best practices, process improvements, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate ownership of assigned technical work while actively seeking opportunities to expand knowledge and responsibility.

MinimumQualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.

  • Strong understanding of circuit theory and electronic circuit operation, including: Microprocessors, Digital logic devices, Analog circuitry, DC power conversion, Programmable logic devices such as CPLDs and FPGAs
  • Hands-on experience using hardware test and debugging equipment, including: Precision oscilloscopes, Logic analyzers, Electronic debuggers, Other laboratory test equipment
  • Programming experience with Python and/or C++, particularly where programming can be leveraged for automated hardware testing and engineering applications.
  • Experience working within a scaled Agile development environment.
  • Familiarity with functional safety standards, such as IEC 61508, and/or EMC standards, such as IEC 61000.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ownership of technical deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated growth mindset, with an interest in continuous learning, knowledge sharing, mentoring, and expanding technical ownership.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional engineering environment.

What You Bring

You are a hands-on engineer who enjoys understanding how systems work at the circuit and hardware level. You approach technical challenges analytically, communicate effectively with engineering partners, and take ownership of delivering high-quality results.

You are comfortable learning new tools and technologies and are interested in applying automation, simulation, and software techniques to improve traditional hardware development and testing processes.

Work Environment
