Job Description Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company, is seeking a Business Systems Analyst - Transformation, Automation & AI with our client in Minneapolis, MN. Our client is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to lead business transformation initiatives through business analysis, process optimization, automation, and AI-enabled solutions. This role partners with business and technology teams to identify opportunities, evaluate solution options, define future-state capabilities, and deliver recommendations that improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.

The ideal candidate has expertise in business process analysis, solution design, enterprise systems, automation technologies, and AI, with the ability to translate complex business needs into practical, technology-enabled solutions. This role supports initiatives from discovery through implementation but does not require software development or coding experience. Key Responsibilities Lead discovery sessions and stakeholder interviews to gather business requirements and identify improvement opportunities.

Analyze business processes, identify gaps and risks, and recommend future-state processes, operating models, and technology solutions. Evaluate automation and AI opportunities, including workflow automation, RPA, document intelligence, and generative AI. Perform business case development, cost-benefit analysis, solution option assessments, and implementation recommendations.

Develop process maps, capability models, data flows, journey maps, and executive-ready presentations. Assess solution feasibility, integration impacts, dependencies, and implementation readiness. Collaborate with business, technology, analytics, operations, and compliance teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Support solution design, requirements refinement, implementation planning, user readiness, and post-implementation validation. Stay current on emerging AI, automation, and digital transformation technologies. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Business Systems Analysis, Process Improvement, Digital Transformation, Business Architecture, or related roles.

Strong experience with requirements gathering, process analysis, stakeholder facilitation, and SDLC methodologies. Demonstrated ability to develop business cases, perform cost-benefit analyses, and evaluate solution alternatives. Knowledge of APIs, integrations, enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, workflow solutions, and solution architecture concepts.

Excellent communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills. Automation & AI Experience 4+ years evaluating and implementing automation, workflow, analytics, or AI solutions. Experience with RPA platforms (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, PEGA, or similar).

Familiarity with OCR, document intelligence, workflow automation, and AI technologies including Microsoft Copilot, LLMs, AI agents, NLP, and chatbots. Ability to assess automation opportunities based on business value, feasibility, risk, and organizational readiness. Preferred Qualifications CBAP, PMI-PBA, Lean Six Sigma, Business Architecture, or similar certification.

Experience in insurance or financial services transformation initiatives. Knowledge of cloud platforms, Power Platform, process mining, and enterprise automation tools. Preferred Tools Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, Lucid chart, Miro, Power BI, Excel, SQL, Power Platform, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, PEGA, Microsoft Copilot, and other AI, analytics, and automation technologies.

-Must be able to be onsite in Minneapolis 4 days/week, 1 day remote. The base hourly range for this contract position is $35-65 per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
