What is an AI Agent Developer job?

An AI Agent Developer designs, builds, and optimizes intelligent software agents that can autonomously perform tasks, make decisions, and interact with users or other systems. This role involves working with machine learning, natural language processing, reinforcement learning, and multi-agent systems to create adaptive and efficient AI solutions. Developers in this field often utilize frameworks like LangChain, AutoGPT, or OpenAI API to enhance agent capabilities. Their work spans various industries, including customer service automation, finance, gaming, and robotics.

What are some common challenges faced by AI Agent Developers in their daily work?

AI Agent Developers often encounter challenges such as managing large and complex datasets, optimizing agent performance, and ensuring models behave ethically and reliably in unpredictable environments. It’s common to iterate frequently on prototypes, test against edge cases, and fine-tune algorithms based on real-world feedback. Collaboration with data scientists, software engineers, and stakeholders is crucial to understand project goals and adapt solutions accordingly. Overcoming these challenges requires technical flexibility, persistence, and a strong teamwork mindset.

Is AI agent developer a good career?

AI agent developer is a growing field involving designing and building intelligent systems that can perform tasks autonomously. It requires skills in programming, machine learning, and data analysis, with job opportunities increasing as AI technology advances. The role offers competitive salaries and the potential for innovation in various industries.

What is a $900000 AI job?

You'll develop and optimize agent systems that enhance customer experience, streamline internal workflows, and drive measurable outcomes in sales, service, and finance.
Responsibilities
Design and develop autonomous agents for dealership workflows including lead scoring, customer routing, service operations, and finance processes. Build and maintain agent chains that integrate with existing systems like DriveCentric CRM, service management platforms, and financial reporting tools. Test agents rigorously against business metrics and customer outcomes to ensure reliability and accuracy. Iterate on agent logic based on performance data and frontline feedback. Document agent architectures, decision logic, and integration points. Collaborate with the GM and executive team to identify high-value automation opportunities and prioritize development.
Why Mark Miller Subaru
You won't be buried in a corporate tech org. You'll work directly with dealership leadership to build systems that change how a real business operates day to day. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape the AI strategy of a forward-thinking franchise operation.
To Apply
Send your resume and a brief note on an agent you've built and what problem it solved.
What We're Looking For
Hands-on experience building AI agents using frameworks like LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar orchestration tools. Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, task queues, and cron-based automation. Comfort working with CRM platforms and operational data. Ability to translate business problems into agent architectures without over-engineering. Strong testing discipline with a bias toward measurable results over demos. Clear communicator who can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. We want to hire someone local to Utah, available for in-person collaboration.

Nice to Have:
Experience in retail, automotive, or customer-facing industries. Familiarity with OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source LLM APIs. Background in workflow automation or process improvement. Experience with VPS deployment, containerization, or serverless infrastructure.
