Job description

Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, with a platform spanning venue development and end-to-end capabilities across venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Founded in 2015, the company serves a collection of seven world-class owned venues and a client roster of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions, spanning four continents. 


Under general supervision of Operations Management, the Lead Facility Worker is responsible for ensuring set-ups and tear-downs for events are completed according to specifications in a safe and timely manner. Responsible for the basic maintenance and upkeep of both the building and property, the Lead Facility Worker must also assist in the oversight of all tasks assigned to Facility Workers.

This role pays an hourly rate of $27.03-$29.42 (per CBA)

Benefits as per the union agreement.

This position will remain open until September 18, 2026.


PeoplesBank Arena is also home to the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, the primary developmental affiliate of the New York Rangers. PeoplesBank Arena entertains millions of visitors annually with a variety of concerts, family shows, and ice-skating spectaculars throughout the season. The venue has played host to an extraordinary roster of world-renowned artists, including Sabrina Carpenter, Andrea Bocelli, Bad Bunny, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Pearl Jam, and many others.

  • Arrives for work on time for each scheduled shift, in uniform and ready to work
  • Performs set-up and tear-down duties
  • Performs daily operations and general building maintenance during non-event days
  • Performs general landscaping of the property
  • Works safely, quickly and efficiently to meet all deadlines
  • Maintains a positive, outgoing demeanor
  • Works independently, and in a team environment
  • Use computer systems for facility maintenance upkeep
  • All other tasks assigned by Supervisor

  • Prior conversion or event experience, preferred
  • Prior landscaping or snow removal experience, preferred
  • Prior lead/supervisory role, preferred
  • OSHA 10 certification, preferred
  • Prior forklift training, preferred
  • Prior ride-on scrubber training, preferred
  • Basic carpentry and drywall knowledge, preferred
  • Basic knowledge of computer skills
  • Must be able to work overnight hours, weekends, and holidays, as needed
  • Must be able to give/take both verbal and written direction
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects on a frequent basis
  • Ability to stand on feet for up to 8 hours at a time
  • Ability to kneel, stoop, climb stairs, and reach/lift above head in conjunction with conversion tasks
  • Ability to safely and efficiently operate hand and power tools
