Job Summary:
We are a busy general and cosmetic dermatology practice seeking an experienced and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our team. This role supports both medical dermatology and cosmetic services The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Room patients, obtain medical histories, and record vital signs
  • Assist providers with medical procedures (biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy)
  • Support cosmetic treatments (Botox, RF microneedling, laser procedures, chemical peels)
  • Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
  • Provide patient education on skincare, treatments, and post-procedure care
  • Accurately document in EMR system
  • Able to do Prior Authorization
  • Manage patient flow to ensure efficient scheduling
  • Handle lab specimens and coordinate pathology services, give results to patients
  • Assist with inventory and stocking of medical and cosmetic supplies
Qualifications:

  • Previous dermatology office experience is required
  • Experience in both general and cosmetic dermatology strongly preferred
  • Medical Assistant certification is a plus
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced setting
  • Familiarity with EMR systems (EMA)
