Job description

LMI is seeking a skilled Logistics Analyst to support the Army logistics program in the Pentagon, Army G-4, through strategic planning, operational analysis, enterprise coordination, program integration, and executive decision support. Successfully demonstrate competency in project execution, client delivery, critical thinking, and relationship management while upholding the highest standard of ethical behavior.

This position is part of the team supporting the Army HQDA G-4 ELISS program, delivering innovative solutions that enable critical Army logistics and sustainment missions.

Responsibilities

  • Support Army water and fuel logistics programs through supporting strategic policy,  planning, resourcing and strategic initiatives.
  • Conduct research and analysis to evaluate water and fuel logistics operations; organizational performance; operational trends; and emerging issues affecting sustainment.
  • Collect, consolidate, and analyze information from multiple data sources (e.g., bulk fuel, Class I water) to support executive decision-making and program recommendations.
  • Develop executive-ready briefings, reports, decision papers, presentations, and other written communications supporting Army water and fuel logistics initiatives.
  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of water and fuel logistics policies, procedures, and organizational initiatives across the Army enterprise.
  • Coordinate activities and recommendations across multiple Army organizations and stakeholders (including sustainment and energy/water management communities) to support enterprise logistics objectives.
  • Monitor project activities, milestones, deliverables, and action items for water and fuel logistics efforts to ensure timely execution.
  • Facilitate meetings, working groups, and collaborative planning sessions focused on water and fuel logistics while documenting decisions and tracking follow-up actions.
  • Synthesize complex operational and analytical information into actionable recommendations that improve water and fuel logistics readiness, mission performance, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Develop performance metrics, dashboards, and analytical products to support leadership visibility and informed decision-making for water and fuel logistics programs.
  • Support planning activities related to water and fuel logistics readiness, sustainment, capability assessments, and program integration.
  • Support business development activities, including market research, proposal support, solution development, and client engagement related to Army water and fuel logistics, as required.
  • Perform additional consulting, analytical, and project support activities as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Public Administration, Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Eight or more years of professional experience supporting Army logisticsโ€”such as water and fuel (Class III/Water), DoW logistics, or other complex Government organizations.
  • Experience conducting operational analysis, readiness assessments, program evaluations, or organizational assessments, preferably including water and/or fuel logistics operations.
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using spreadsheets, databases, and collaboration tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information from multiple sources (e.g., operational reports, supply chain data, theater sustainment data) into concise, actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing executive-level briefings, reports, and presentations for senior Army or DoW stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and work effectively within cross-functional teams that may include sustainment, engineering, and energy/water management personnel.
  • Self-directed, detail oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in dynamic operational environments.
  • Familiarity with Army systems such as Vantage and GCSS-Army
  • Available for occasional travel.
  • This position requires an active Secret security clearance. Applicants must be U.S. citizens.

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Advanced degree in Business, Public Administration, Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 10 plus years of experience supporting Army logistics, or other DoW organizations.
  • Experience supporting headquarters-level logistics planning, program management, readiness, sustainment, or enterprise integration.
  • Experience developing dashboards, performance metrics, executive reporting, or data visualization products.
  • Familiarity with business process improvement, workflow modernization, automation, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional working groups and stakeholder engagements.
  • Excellent research, writing, briefing, and staff coordination skills.

The target salary range for this position is $69,000.00-$118,000.00. 

The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, skills, and security clearances. 

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for a U.S. Government security clearance. Only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance. For this position, LMI will only consider applicants with security clearances or applicants who are eligible for security clearances, due to the nature of the work.
