Job description

Job Title: Agile Technical Project Manager

Location: Rancho Cucamonga, CA

The Agile Technical Project Manager will be part of the IT Project Management group (IPMO). The ITPMO is Shared Services Program management function to help the business units and Enterprise achieve the business strategy and goals.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Manage Stakeholder Relationships
  • Manage Development Project & Sprint Plan
  • Manage Project Progress
  • Manage Project Acceptance
  • Manage Project Transitions
  • Evaluate & Improve Project Performance

The primary responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Manage enterprise projects through the delivery of technical solutions
  • Create or analyze business requirements documents and project timelines
  • Guides team in time estimating practices and facilitates team estimates
  • Facilitates daily stand-up, iteration planning, sprint review, and iteration retrospective
  • Drive team iteration execution, communicates with management and stakeholders, protects the team from uncontrolled injection of work (changes are evaluated/intentional)
  • Manage project conflicts, challenges, and dynamic business requirements to keep operations running at a high performance
  • Manages sprint huddles and project meetings and resources
  • Provides clear project RAID tracking and ongoing review and resolution
  • Working with the team leads to resolving people problems and project roadblocks
  • Conduct Sprint retro analysis to help teams continuously improve their practices to ensure maximum productivity
  • Leads team effort in relentless improvement, define and implement improvement stories to increase the velocity and quality of the program
  • Proactively identify and eliminate impediments and facilitate flow
  • Maintain team data in project management software ADO to support estimates and execution
  • Presents and updates in near real time the ITPMO project Dashboard in alignment with project plans
  • Supports product owner(s) with intra-team dynamics with respect to priorities and scope
  • Manage other special projects assigned
  • Other duties as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of:

  • Healthcare issues, information systems, management issues, and current trends.
  • Conceptualizing business strategies while implementing information systems and technology strategic direction.
  • Demonstrable expertise in agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, etc.
  • Thrives in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment
  • Expert coach on implementation of agile scrum
  • Deep understanding of the fundamentals of iterative and incremental development
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules, and practices
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile procedures to predict the development teams needs
  • Solid experience working with Architecture teams to assess and size story/epics
  • Passionate commitment to delivering products on time
  • Comfortable with presenting project readouts to Executive level audience
  • Deep understanding of agile metrics (tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories etc.) to analyze and improve sprint planning
  • Ability to understand and represent both the business and technology
  • Excellent communicator in person, over the phone and through email and project documents

Self-motivated, organized

  • Data Lake, Enterprise Data Warehouse experience, would be added advantage.
  • Infra, Security and Cybersecurity experience would be added advantage.
