Job description

Awardco is reimagining the workplace to be more rewarding, supportive, and fun for everyone. As one of the fastest-growing companies in the employee experience industry, our mission is to help employees love what they do, love where they work, and get recognized for their efforts-especially our own employees! And as winners of Glassdoor's Best Places to Work, Best in Brightest in the Nation, and Great Place to Work, we do much more than talk the talk.

We are looking for a Sr. Technical Program Manager to join our Strategic Operations team within the Business Operations department. This is a high-impact role for someone with deep technical fluency-you aren't just a project coordinator; you are a strategic translator who understands how data flows, how systems integrate, and how technical constraints impact business goals.

You will act as the primary partner to our Client Success, IT, Product and People Operations teams, owning the success of their technical and operational initiatives from ideation to delivery. By bringing the technical depth to vet solution feasibility and the operational grit to manage complex builds, you ensure our internal infrastructure is robust, scalable, and secure. This is a role for a high-ownership leader who can navigate a messy whiteboard session as effectively as a high-level strategy discussion.

What you will do:

  • Act as the strategic point of contact and embed within key retention & experience functions (e.g., Client Success, Product, People Operations, IT, and Facilities) to identify where internal workflows are failing and where our tech stack can be better leveraged to drive results.
  • Evaluate competing requests against technical effort and business impact to help leadership manage a high-value, transparent roadmap.
  • Take broad business "asks" and refine them into clear, actionable requirements. You have the fluency to spot potential system conflicts or data integrity risks before they hit the development phase.
  • Define the requirements and logic for new system features that solve root business problems.
  • Translate solutions into clear, actionable Jira tickets for the Systems team. You ensure technical nuance and edge case is documented and that every ticket has the necessary context and "Definition of Done" before it hits a builder's queue.
  • Act as the "glue" between the requesting department and the Systems team. You manage the project timeline, unblock technical questions, and ensure the final delivery meets the original business need.
  • Lead the "Definition of Done" by facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensuring every technical rollout meets Awardco's standards of excellence.
  • Own the "last mile" of delivery. You'll lead the training and communication required to ensure that when a new technical process goes live, it is adopted and understood by the team.

What you will bring:

  • 6+ years of experience managing the intersection of business process and technical systems (e.g., TPM, Business Systems, or Implementation Engineering) in a high-growth SaaS environment.
  • Hands-on experience leading Salesforce-centric projects, with a solid understanding of Salesforce objects, automation capabilities, and its role as a central business engine.
  • A strong grasp of integrated tech stacks, API logic, and data modeling; you can hold your own in a room with developers and admins without writing the code yourself.
  • You are a "full-stack" operator who can pivot from a technical system discussion to a high-level business strategy session without missing a beat.
  • The ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical leaders while providing the necessary detail for technical teams to execute.
  • Demonstrated ability to move complex projects through a full lifecycle-from a messy discovery phase to a polished, live, and automated solution.
  • Proven ability to question the "status quo" and manage stakeholder expectations when a request doesn't align with technical best practices or broader business goals.
  • Mastery of Jira for backlog management and project tracking in a fast-paced agile or hybrid environment.
  • A self-starter who demonstrates extreme ownership, maintains a positive attitude, and is regarded as a trustworthy, efficient partner across all departments.

Why Awardco:

  • We have a revolutionary, client-approved product.
  • One of the fastest growing companies in the nation: 3x Inc. 500, 2x Deloitte Technology Fast 500, 2x Mountain West Capital Network Fast 100, 3x Fast 50 (Utah Business), and 3x UV50 Fastest Growing Companies (BusinessQ), to name just a few.
  • Great Place to Work certified, ranked in Inc. Best Workplaces, one of the Best and Brightest companies to work for, and ranked on the Salt Lake Tribune's Top Workplaces.
  • Backed by renowned investors, both local and national.
