Job description

The Aggregate Quality Control Representative is responsible for performing routine laboratory and field testing of aggregate materials produced at the quarry. This role ensures compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. The technician will maintain accurate records, support continuous quality improvement efforts, and contribute to the safe and efficient operation of the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect, prepare, and test aggregate, sand, and stone samples from production and stockpile locations.
  • Conduct laboratory and field-testing procedures in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, TXDOT, and company standards.
  • Document, analyze, and report test results in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor material quality throughout the production process to verify compliance with established specifications.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring calibration and proper functionality.
  • Assist with investigations of quality concerns and implement corrective actions as directed.
  • Prepare and maintain logs, reports, and records of all test results.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with plant operators, supervisors, and management to achieve quality and production goals.

Qualifications

  • Must have experience in this field of work
  • Hight School diploma
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge required of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Work is performed in laboratory and field environments at quarry sites.
  • Always required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
