Overview

A Quality Control Technician will be responsible for sampling and performing concrete and aggregate gradations. Take ownership of your role by testing concrete and aggregates, communicating results to appropriate parties, and documenting the results while following safety and operation guidelines. Responsibilities

  • Complete site visits to production facilities to monitor the quality of products.
  • Troubleshoot, identify, correct, and prevent quality control issues.
  • Understand Quality Control documentation to perform field and lab testing on aggregates.
  • Communicate with the Quality Control Director and/or Manager for daily duty assignments and Quality Control-related items (issues, trends, projects, making operating adjustments, etc.).
  • Maintain a daily log of Quality Control operations and recordkeeping on field and laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain good relations with plant personnel, customers, engineering technicians, supervisors, etc.
  • Maintain safe practices at all times and report injuries to management as necessary.
  • Assist plants during production.
  • Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work as this job description is non-exhaustive.

Requirements

  • Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.
  • State DOT Certifications.
  • ACI Certifications.
  • Microsoft Office Skills.
  • Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects.
  • Team player mentality and eagerness to cross-train.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and understand instructions in both written and verbal forms.
  • A positive attitude is critical to ensure productive working relationships with co-workers and management.
  • Exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, noise, dusty conditions, and working outdoors.
  • Overnight travel is not standard but may be required at different times of the year (with per diem).
