The Batch Plant Forman will report to the Superintendent and work closely with and support the operations team, interact with a variety of staff at all levels and uphold a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. This position is located in Leonard, Texas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate on-site concrete batch plant.
  • Communicate with placing foreman and quality control representatives to determine required testing and production batches, start times and overall placing requirements.
  • Batch concrete load while making necessary material and moisture adjustments.
  • Oversee mixing process to ensure accurate proportion of cement, aggregates, water, and admixture prior to loading on truck.
  • Monitor inventory control of materials.
  • Print tickets for trucks and loads.
  • Conduct work with 100% integrity and professionalism.
  • Available to work day and nightshifts.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to receive written or oral instructions.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with field and office personnel.
  • Must be committed to contributing to a culture of safety, looking out for yourself and others.
Physical Requirements:
  • Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
  • Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements.
  • Must be able to safely monitor and operate batch plant equipment and respond to operational conditions in a timely manner.
  • Able to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and safety-toed boots.
  • Able to walk moderate distances to reach work area up to 1/2 mile
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with coworkers, supervisors, and project personnel in person, by phone, radio, or other communication methods.
  • Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment drug screen.
