About Star Nursery: Established in 1983, Star Nursery is looking to hire qualified, motivated drivers for a variety of positions; including both full-time and part-time, local and regional, class A, B and C licensed driver positions, to deliver aggregate and/or nursery product within the desert southwest area of Nevada, Arizona and Utah to our 16 store locations and/or direct to our customers. We want to hire drivers who take pride in delivering our product in a professional, safe and timely manner.

A support team consisting of store staff, human resources, full-time truck washer, full-service mechanics shop on-site and mobile mechanics for travel services, there to assist in driver success.
Driver Requirements:
Have a valid driver's license with the necessary class A and/or endorsements for the position applied for
No current driving record suspension or revocation
Complete a Pre-employment drug screening
Provide an approved Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) & Pass a Pre-employment background check
No failed or refused drug or alcohol test(s) in the last 5 years, including DWI, DUI and BAC's
Be able to provide all DOT/FMCSA required documents, such as a current medical certificate and up to 10 years of verifiable driving work history
Have reliable personal transportation
CDL drivers must meet all DOT and FMCSA qualifications
CDL drivers require a minimum of 2-year verifiable driving experience
Ability to lift, push and/or pull at least 50 lbs.
Ability to sit for long periods of time, stand, bend, kneel and/or climb.
Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions
Driver Responsibilities:
Fully understand how to safely operate and drive your assigned vehicle to transport goods, etc. to intended destination(s).
Perform pre and post trip equipment inspections daily
Adhere to company rules, regulations, operating standards and policies
Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions
Be OSHA Safety complaint
Be DOT/FMCSA/ELD compliant
Maintain a clean vehicle
Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered
Maintenance of appropriate paperwork; customer signatures, working hours, etc.
