As a Physician Assistant in Internal Medicine, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient evaluations through interviews, examinations, and medical histories to determine the most effective treatment plans.
• Utilizing evidence-based medicine and the latest technology to develop tailored treatment programs for patients.
• Educating patients and their families about wellness, preventive care, and early detection practices to empower them in managing their health.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests to establish accurate diagnoses and treatment options.
• Providing referrals to other specialists based on patient evaluations and needs, ensuring continuity of care.
• Engaging in quality improvement initiatives and participating in ongoing medical education to enhance clinical practice and patient outcomes.
• Documenting patient information diligently using EMR systems to maintain accurate medical records.
• Assisting in addressing patient concerns and inquiries to promote patient satisfaction.
• Occasionally covering night calls, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to patient care.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited institution.
• Current, unrestricted medical licensure in Texas (or eligibility for licensure) along with board certification or eligibility.
• A valid DEA license for prescribing medications.
• Demonstrated clinical competency and effective communication skills.
