The work setting for this role is onsite at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center located in San Jose, California. You will be part of a close-knit team that values collaboration and communication, ensuring comprehensive patient care is delivered seamlessly. Monday through Friday, your typical work hours will be 40 per week, beginning at 5:00 PM, providing an excellent work-life balance.

• Deliver high-quality medical care through thorough patient interviews, physical examinations, and evidence-based treatment plans.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, educating them on wellness practices, preventive care, and early detection methods.
• Utilize clinical judgment to make timely referrals to specialists based on patient examinations and specific healthcare needs.
• Engage in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and participate in education programs to enhance clinical practice.
• Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues with a focus on exceptional service.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with federal regulations.
• Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Occasionally cover night calls and work collaboratively with healthcare staff to ensure patient needs are met.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations that include health history analysis and clinical testing.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment pathways.

The ideal candidate will engage with a diverse patient population, including adults who require specialized care in internal medicine. You will primarily work with patients needing management for chronic illnesses, preventative care, and acute conditions. Your empathetic approach will ensure that each patient feels valued and their specific needs are met, leading to improved patient outcomes within the community.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is required, alongside a valid MD or DO degree.
• Must possess current, unrestricted medical licensure within California, along with board certification or eligibility.
• A valid DEA license is mandatory for prescribing medications.
• Strong clinical skills and a passion for patient-centered care are essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates with experience in internal medicine settings, particularly those dealing with chronic disease management, preventative strategies, and patient education initiatives. Experience using electronic medical records is also favorable.
