Power Electronics Engineer (m/f/d) Your Tasks
  • Support the definition, development, andadvancement of innovative power electronics technologies and architectures,including feasibility studies, trade-off analyses, and technology roadmapactivities
  • Develop simulation models and preliminary power electronicsarchitectures for space applications
  • Provide technical support for proposals,tenders, and engineering studies, including cost estimation, risk assessment,and presentations to customers and stakeholders
  • Perform and support schematic, design, and PCBlayout reviews while ensuring compliance with applicable electrical,reliability, derating, and EMC/EMI standards
  • Contribute to verification and validationactivities, evaluating design margins, component selection, and technicaldocumentation throughout the development lifecycle
  • Participate in anomaly investigations androot-cause analyses, assess test and failure data, and support theimplementation of corrective and preventive actions in collaboration withsuppliers and project teams
Your Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering,Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics, or a comparable field
  • Several years of experience in the design andanalysis of power electronics, power conditioning systems, or powerdistribution architectures, ideally within the space, aerospace, defense, orother high-reliability industries
  • Strong expertise in analog and digital powerelectronics, magnetics design, control systems, stability analysis, EMC/EMI,and worst-case and reliability analyse
  • Proficiency in simulation and development toolssuch as MATLAB/Simulink, schematic capture tools, and laboratory test andcharacterization equipment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solvingskills, with the ability to work independently as well as withinmultidisciplinary teams while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong communication and technicaldocumentation skills, with additional knowledge of ECSS standards, space-gradecomponents, radiation-tolerant designs, hardware qualification, environmentaltesting, and FPGA-based power management systems considered an advantage
