Le programme d'avions commerciaux A220 recherche un(e) Specialiste Outillage pour rejoindre notre equipe d'outillage basee a Mirabel (Quebec, Canada.

Le departement d'outillage d'Airbus Canada joue un role essentiel dans le soutien a la production du programme Airbus A220 sur nos sites de Mirabel (Quebec) et Mobile (Alabama). En rejoignant notre equipe, vous serez charge(e) de concevoir, fournir et maintenir les equipements necessaires aux chaines de montage final (FAL).

Notre organisation favorise la collaboration transversale et l'autonomie, au sein d'un environnement ou le soutien mutuel et l'apprentissage collectif sont privilegies. Vos defis:

  • Coordonner et animer une equipe de planificateurs techniques specialises dans l'estimation et l'achat d'outillages;

  • Repartir la charge de travail et assurer la montee en competence technique de vos collaborateurs;

  • Elaborer les ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) et delais de livraison pour les nouveaux projets afin de fournir des estimations budgetaires fiables des les phases de faisabilite;

  • Assurer la gestion et la responsabilite d'un contrat d'achat strategique pour l'outillage, en veillant au respect des clauses commerciales et techniques;

  • Piloter la relation fournisseur en assurant un suivi rigoureux des jalons (milestones) critiques de chaque projet;

  • Garantir le respect des delais de livraison et mettre en place des plans d'action en cas de derive;

  • Definir, extraire et analyser les indicateurs de performance (KPIs) lies a l'activite (respect des couts, ponctualite des livraisons, qualite de l'outillage);

  • Rediger des rapports d'activite periodiques pour la direction;

  • Gerer efficacement les ressources financieres allouees a un projet, afin de garantir que les depenses restent dans les limites du budget prevu, tout en atteignant les objectifs definis;

  • Collaborer etroitement avec les equipes de methodes, finance, approvisionnement, les fournisseurs et les parties prenantes externes;

  • Interpreter, comprendre et respecter les plans et devis techniques;

  • Animer les rencontres multi-departementales et s'assurer que chaque collaborateur soit engage;

  • Trouver des solutions lors des differents enjeux qui seront rencontres au cours du projet;

  • Presenter des rapports d'avancement des projets.

Votre profil:

  • Vous detenez un diplome d'ingenieur (licence ou equivalent) en genie mecanique, genie industriel ou aeronautique, ou une experience professionnelle equivalente.

  • Vous detenez une specialisation en conception de produits, en gestion de projets industriels ou en outillage (un atout).

  • Vous avez un minimum de 10 annees d'experience dans le secteur industriel ou dans un poste de charge d'affaires similaire.

  • Vous avez de l'experience avec la planification, le suivi, la gestion des delais, des couts et la coordination entre differentes equipes.

  • Vous avez une experience en coordination d'equipe ou en gestion de projet transverse.

  • Vous etes en capacite de travailler avec des fournisseurs externes, de suivre la fabrication et l'assemblage des equipements.

  • Vous etes capable de travailler avec des equipes pluridisciplinaires (ingenieurs, techniciens, gestionnaires...) et de communiquer efficacement avec les clients et les parties prenantes.

  • Vous avez une forte capacite d'organisation, de la rigueur et une attention particuliere aux details.

The A220 Commercial Aircraft Program is looking for a Tooling Specialist to join our tooling team based in Mirabel (Quebec), Canada.

The Airbus Canada Tooling Department plays a vital role in supporting the production of the Airbus A220 program across our Mirabel (Quebec) and Mobile (Alabama) sites. By joining our team, you will be responsible for designing, providing, and maintaining the equipment required for the Final Assembly Lines (FAL).

Our team structure promotes autonomous cross-functional collaboration within an environment that values mutual support and collective learning. We manage full-cycle projects of all sizes, featuring innovative solutions such as aircraft mezzanines, lifting equipment, robotic assembly stations, as well as aircraft transport and access tools.

Your primary role will be to ensure project progress while strictly adhering to deadlines, budgets, and costs. You will ensure that every delivered solution meets the highest quality and safety standards, while complying with Airbus norms, health and safety criteria, and the requirements of the Ordre des ingenieurs du Quebec.

Your Challenges:

  • Coordinate and lead a team of technical planners specializing in tooling estimation and purchasing;

  • Distribute the workload and ensure the technical skill development of your collaborators;

  • Develop ROMs (Rough Order of Magnitude) and delivery lead times for new projects to provide reliable budget estimates from the feasibility phases;

  • Manage and take responsibility for a strategic purchase contract for tooling, ensuring compliance with commercial and technical clauses;

  • Define, extract, and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to the activity (cost compliance, on-time delivery, tooling quality);

  • Write periodic activity reports for management;

  • Effectively manage financial resources allocated to a project to ensure spending stays within budget while achieving defined objectives;

  • Collaborate closely with methods, finance, and procurement teams, as well as suppliers and external stakeholders;

  • Interpret, understand, and comply with technical plans and specifications;

  • Lead multi-departmental meetings and ensure every collaborator is engaged;

  • Find solutions for various issues encountered during the project;

  • Present project progress reports.

Your Boarding pass:

  • You hold an engineering degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) in mechanical, industrial, or aeronautical engineering, or equivalent professional experience;

  • You hold a specialization in product design, industrial project management, or tooling (an asset);

  • You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the industrial sector or in a similar business manager role;

  • You have experience with planning, monitoring, managing deadlines and costs, and coordination between different teams;

  • You have experience in team coordination or cross-functional project management;

  • You are able to work with external suppliers and oversee the manufacturing and assembly of equipment;

  • You are capable of working with multidisciplinary teams (engineers, technicians, managers, etc.) and communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders;

  • You have strong organizational skills, rigor, and a keen attention to detail.
