This is an opportunity for a proven leader in Commercial & Industrial HVAC to take ownership of a growing service business unit in Pasadena, California. You’ll have the autonomy to drive operations, lead your team, and directly impact financial performance.

Role Overview

This role is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Services Business Unit, including operations, sales, and financial performance.

You’ll oversee a team focused on delivering high-quality service while driving profitability, customer satisfaction, and long-term growth. This position works closely with corporate leadership and internal teams to align strategy, improve performance, and ensure consistent execution across the business unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Make safety the top priority across all operations
  • Lead and manage daily operations, sales performance, and financial results for the business unit
  • Develop and execute plans to meet or exceed growth and profitability goals
  • Track and manage key performance metrics including safety, financials, forecasting, AR, and team performance
  • Oversee budgeting, pricing, and cost controls to ensure financial targets are met
  • Partner with corporate operations to share best practices and improve overall performance
  • Lead hiring, performance management, and development of team members
  • Work closely with service managers to ensure proper staffing levels and technical capabilities
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve operational challenges and maintain consistency across projects
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and uphold strong business ethics
  • Drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and ensure service commitments are met
Travel
  • Minimal travel required to company or client locations
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in the service industry with a strong track record of success
  • Experience managing operations, teams, and P&L performance
  • Background in outside sales and business development
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Proven leadership experience, including hiring, coaching, and team development
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Detail-oriented with a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving
  • Knowledge of industry trends and competitors
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
Requirements
