Job description

Essential Functions:
Basic Supervision and Operations
Support the activities of the After School program through supervision that maintains a safe, respectful, inclusive and fun atmosphere and tone that is consistent with the Larchmont Charter School mission and philosophy;
Support the social/emotional well being of students using strategies and processes consistent with the school mission and philosophy;
Assist the Site Director as requested with specific tasks and routines to support the program such as tracking student attendance on daily attendance rosters, including documentation of students entering/departing the program
Provide homework help when able or direct students where to find assistance.
Organize and facilitate recreational activities for students.
Attend any/all trainings and meetings to stay current on expectations, policies and procedures;
Assist with set up, clean up, storage of equipment, and all other processes for caring for the grounds and facility
Model professional behaviors and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and the broader community.
Maintain reliable, consistent attendance and punctuality.
Other Functions:
Perform other duties as assigned.
Assist in other school programs when necessary.
Physical Requirements: Continual speaking; standing for long periods of time; frequent sitting, reaching, walking, bending, grasping and pinching; occasional lifting and carrying, squatting, twisting or kneeling.
Environment: Uneven surfaces, noise, quick work pace. Requires that the incumbent work effectively under stressful situations and respond to the unpredictable behaviors of students. Frequent use of computer screen. Occasionally involves working outdoors and exposure to inclement weather. Infrequently involves exposure to traffic congestion. May rarely involve exposure to biohazardous waste.

Minimum Qualifications:
(*) High School Diploma
(*) Minimum of two years of relevant experience
(*) Familiarity working with students in a tutoring environment
(*) TB clearance & DOJ fingerprint clearance
(*) Possess/maintain valid infant, child and Adult CPR/First Aid/AED certification
