In the heart of Florida's capital, Tallahassee presents an incredible backdrop for both professional advancement and personal fulfillment. Here, the sprawling canopy of live oaks and vibrant community pulse with a rhythm that's distinctly harmonious. Living and working in this picturesque city offers a unique blend of historical charm and modern progress. If you're an Imaging Technologist eager to make a significant impact, let this opportunity guide you to a fulfilling path.
In your role, you'll stand at the cutting edge of medical imaging, an essential bridge in the continuum of care. You'll harness your technical skills to produce precise, actionable images while fostering a supportive and tranquil atmosphere for patients during vulnerable moments. Your contributions are mapped in every scan that informs vital treatment decisions, highlighting the importance of your work in their health journeys.
Your Responsibilities Include
  • Utilizing state-of-the-art radiographic and CT techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic images for healthcare specialists.
  • Collaborating closely with radiologists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure the accuracy of diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Positioning patients carefully and calibrating equipment for optimal imaging results.
  • Adhering to radiation safety protocols to safeguard patients and fellow staff members.
  • Keeping meticulous records, including imaging logs and regular equipment maintenance documentation.
  • Providing empathetic patient care throughout their imaging experiences.
  • Contributing to an organized, safe, and efficient imaging environment that prioritizes patient wellbeing.
Educational Qualifications
  • An Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology is required, while a Bachelor's Degree is an added advantage.
  • Completion of an accredited radiology program is essential.
Certifications Needed
  • ARRT certification in CT and/or Radiography.
  • Current BLS certification or willingness to achieve it within 90 days from hire.
Essential Skills
  • Strong understanding of diagnostic imaging protocols and adherence to safety standards.
  • Exceptional communication abilities with patients and collaborative staff members.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while adapting to changing circumstances.
  • A detail-oriented approach paired with a sense of accountability.
  • Technological proficiency with PACS, RIS, and contemporary imaging software.
What Awaits You
  • A comprehensive benefits package covering medical, dental, and vision needs.
  • Generous paid time off along with flexible scheduling options.
  • Opportunities for on-site professional development and education.
  • Paths for advancement and the potential for cross-training in various modalities.
  • A supportive workplace culture founded on core values promoting teamwork and individual development.
  • Fully on-site role within a collaborative clinical setting.

Why Your Role Matters
Your work transcends the technicality of capturing images - it's about connection and compassion. Whether performing a critical scan for a young child after a fall or guiding a grandmother through a cancer screening, your reassuring presence holds immense power in these moments. Each individual you assist feels the warmth of your expert care, enhancing their comfort during times of uncertainty.
You'll be part of a cohesive imaging team, where your efforts are met with appreciation and acknowledgment. The synergy in the CT department comes from shared values and goals, creating an environment where collaboration thrives. Each day, you'll contribute to a mission that prioritizes human connection, professionalism, and kindness - the true essence of healthcare.
Tallahassee: Your New Home Awaits
Envision waking up in a city where the warmth of southern hospitality extends beyond your doorstep. In Tallahassee, mornings start with coffee from a local café, afternoons welcome explorations through lush nature trails, and evenings are vibrant with cultural festivities and live performances. This is not just any city; it is a blend of natural aesthetics and a lively cultural tapestry, where history meets innovation.
As you navigate through charming neighborhoods with farmer's markets and community parks, a sense of belonging can easily take root. The lifestyle here is enriched by no state income tax, excellent educational institutions, and a cost of living that makes savouring life's pleasures more attainable. With a growing healthcare scene, the region fosters immense professional growth, offering endless opportunities to advance your career.
Your Future Teammates
The imaging department is a close-knit community where trust and respect prevail. You will join a team comprised of experienced professionals and passionate newcomers who collectively believe that exceptional service is as much about relationships as it is about expertise. Each voice matters - your insights and experiences will be valued, whether proposing new methodologies or guiding less experienced colleagues.
Who We Desire
We seek an individual who embodies attention to detail and demonstrates empathy in every interaction. You understand that your role extends beyond technology; it encompasses the overall experience of those you serve. Remaining calm under pressure and adaptable to the unexpected is your strength. Your certification and skills are your assets, and we provide the opportunity, support, and environment for you to flourish.
Let Us Embark on This Journey Together
If you're ready to embrace a role that makes an immediate and meaningful difference, where your contributions are recognized and where your time is spent in fulfillment - we are eager to meet you.
