About the Role: As the HVAC Installation Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our installation operations, managing a team of skilled technicians, and ensuring the successful completion of HVAC installation projects & associated permits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of HVAC installers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure exceptional performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Set expectations for each installation, including safety and code requirements.
  • Coordinate with installation technicians, installation coordinators, permitting department, warehouse/inventory manager, fabrication, and sales manager to complete jobs on time and within budget.
  • Review and sign off all materials are staged properly each afternoon for the next morning including that all materials and equipment match each order.
  • Follow installation preparation checklist to ensure next day staging and preparations are completed.
  • Conduct ad-hoc coaching sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of installation technicians, ensuring high-quality installations.
  • Monitor the performance of installation technicians, providing feedback and guidance for improvement.
  • Promote enthusiasm and brand loyalty during daily huddles, team meetings, and one-on-one interactions.
  • Establish and maintain customer rapport to ensure the highest levels of satisfaction ensuring customers complete a post-install review online.
  • Resolve customer complaints quickly and favorably, following the company's established procedures.
  • Analyze and control job expenses to meet budgetary requirements ensuring appropriate gross profit is achieved.
  • Provide technical support for both HVAC service and install departments as needed.
  • Rotate as manager on-call coverage for HVAC department as needed.
  • Run installation and warranty recalls only when installation crews are unavailable due to revenue scheduled jobs.
  • Work closely with the install coordinator to coordinate, communicate, and complete all billing for sub-contracted work and ensure customers register HVAC systems for warranty purposes.
  • Perform site visits to all installations taking place each day and complete remote (virtual) visits where needed to ensure all installs are inspected each day.
  • Identify missing opportunities from sales team during installation process for post-sale membership, extended warranties, accessory add-ons, etc. Present opportunities to the customer before leaving the home to ensure opportunity is recaptured.
  • Inspect and track all HVAC install trucks and equipment to ensure the team and its fleet are in a clean and operational state.
  • Manage weekend & afterhours installations including the rotating on-call installation crew scheduling.

Qualifications:
  • Proven track record in HVAC installation.
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and HVAC software.
  • Excellent presentation skills, able to convey confident and decisive messages.
  • Strong multitasking abilities, enjoying working in the field with diverse teams on varied projects.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
