Job description

Home-Based Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Various Hours Available

Serving Clients in Lehigh Valley, PA (Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton & Surrounding Areas)
$1,000 Signing Bonus | $17.00–$25.00/HR

Abound Health is hiring compassionate, reliable Home-Based Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) throughout the Lehigh Valley region.

Full-time and part-time hours available.


About the Role

As a DSP, you will provide one-on-one support in clients’ homes and communities. Your work helps individuals live safely, independently, and with dignity. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, dependable, and passionate about helping others.


Key Responsibilities

• Support behavioral, social, and vocational skill development
• Assist with recreational and community activities
• Follow treatment plans and document progress
• Provide companionship and respite care
• Submit documentation and payroll on time
• Participate in ongoing training
• Assist with personal care needs as required
• Work independently in home and community settings


What We’re Looking For

• Genuine interest in supporting individuals with I/DD
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Valid driver’s license and active car insurance
• Comfortable supporting individuals with varying personal-care and behavioral-support needs
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass background checks
• Physical ability to assist with lifting or transfers if needed


Compensation

$17.00–$25.00 per hour
$1,000 signing bonus for qualified candidates


Schedule

• Various hours with flexible scheduling
• Morning, afternoon, or evening shifts available


Experience

• One year of caregiving experience preferred (not required — training provided)

Signing Bonus Details

• $333 after 90 days (minimum 20 hours/week)
• $333 after 6 months (minimum 20 hours/week)

Bonus not available for Residential Services or Relative as Provider (RAP) hires. Applicants must not have worked for Abound Health or its affiliates within the past 18 months.
