Job description

Group Home Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Full-Time & Part-Time Openings

Serving Group Homes in West Middlesex & Sharpsville, PA
$18.00-$23HR

Abound Health is hiring compassionate, reliable Group Home Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in our Mercer County group homes. Opportunities are available in West Middlesex and Sharpsville.

Full-Time and Part-Time Hours Available

About the Role

As a DSP, you will provide essential support within a group home setting, helping individuals live safely, comfortably, and with dignity. This role is perfect for someone who is patient, dependable, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in others’ lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support behavioral, social, and daily living skill development
• Assist with recreational and community activities
• Follow treatment plans and document progress
• Provide companionship and supervision
• Submit documentation and payroll on time
• Participate in ongoing training
• Assist with personal care needs as required
• Work independently and as part of a team within the group home environment

What We’re Looking For

• Genuine interest in supporting individuals with I/DD
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Valid driver’s license and active car insurance
• Comfortable supporting individuals with varying personal-care and behavioral-support needs
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass background checks
• Physical ability to assist with lifting or transfers if needed

Compensation

• $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Schedule

• Flexible scheduling
• Morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts available

Experience

• 1 year of caregiving experience preferred
• Not required — paid training provided
