Brethren Village Retirement Community, in Lititz, PA, has opportunities for Certified Nurse Aides (CNA's). We welcome applications from new CNA's as well as experienced CNA's.
Full-time and part-time employment opportunities are typically availableon all shifts, in our Skilled Care areas: Skilled Nursing Facility or Short Term Rehabilitation Center.
  • Newly-certified Nurse Aides start at $22.50 / hour, with higher rates for experienced CNA's.
  • Brethren Village's CNA's enjoy relatively low Resident to CNA ratios, and have the opportunity to establish caring relationships with our Residents.
  • Brethren Village CNA's receive extensive, paid on-the-job training and orientation, and on-going support and guidance.
  • For new CNA's, Brethren Village will reimburse your Nurse Aide training costs.
  • Brethren Village offers our CNA's competitive pay rates and generous shift differentials ($3.00 extra per hour on the evening shift, $2.00 extra per hour on the night shift, plus $1.00 extra per hour on weekends).
  • Brethren Village is large enough to offer a variety of work schedules to meet your needs, and to offer advancement opportunities throughout our facilities.

Typical Work Schedules
  • Full-time, benefits-eligible, 37.5 hours per week: 7.5 and 11.5-hour per day schedules are typically available on all shifts; work days will vary a bit from week to week and typically include periodic weekends and every other holiday

  • Part-time: part-time schedules are typically available on all shifts

Requirements
Core Requirements:
  • a high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • basic computer skills: the ability to access and navigate web sites, and use software, apps, and databases independently
  • the ability to complete online training independently
  • dependability: ability and willingness to meet attendance standards
  • attention to safety: ability and willingness to consistently work in a safe and alert manner, and to report to work fit for duty; commitment to wearing protective equipment as required for the position and adhering to all health and safety standards
  • commitment to treating each Resident, Team Member, and member of the Brethren Village community with respect

Additional Requirements for this Position:
  • a valid PA Nursing Assistant / Nurse Aide Certification (CNA)
  • current CPR and First Aid certifications or willingness to obtain upon hire
  • the ability and willingness to assist Residents with activities of daily living, including eating, dressing, bathing, and bathroom tasks; willingness to provide effective care to Residents with dementia or who are exhibiting challenging behaviors
  • the ability to safely transfer Residents, properly using mechanical lifts when necessary; to safely push adult Residents in wheelchairs; to safely assist Residents who may begin to fall
  • the ability to quickly and safely assist Residents during emergency evacuations and other emergency situations
  • ability and willingness to work every other weekend and holiday
