Job description

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – In-Home Pediatric ABA Therapy

$22.00–$28.00 per hour | Part-time, weekday afternoons (approx. 3:00–7:00 PM) | In-home and community-based | Morehead City, NC

Blossom ABA Therapy is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) — or an exam-ready candidate who has completed the 40-hour RBT training and has hands-on ABA experience — to provide 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism spectrum disorder under the supervision of a BCBA.

This is a direct-care role. You'll be on the floor, at a child's level, running skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs in family homes and community settings.

What you'll do

  • Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy sessions to children with autism in home and community settings

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and treatment goals written by your supervising BCBA

  • Run skill acquisition programs (communication, social skills, daily living, play) using DTT and naturalistic teaching

  • Collect accurate session data and complete documentation on time

  • Respond to challenging behavior using approved, evidence-based procedures

  • Communicate professionally with caregivers and your clinical team

Requirements — please apply only if these describe you

  • Active RBT certification through the BACB, or completed 40-hour RBT training and ready to sit for the exam

  • Hands-on experience providing ABA therapy to children with autism (direct 1:1 experience, not observation only)

  • Available weekday afternoons, approximately 3:00–7:00 PM

  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (this role travels to clients' homes)

  • Able to complete background clearances required for working with children

  • Physically able to sit on the floor, kneel, move quickly, and safely respond to challenging behavior

Pay and benefits

  • $22.00–$28.00 per hour

  • Flexible part-time afternoon schedule with a path to full-time hours

  • Referral bonuses and team recognition events
