Our client is a roadway system, and as a part of their digital transformation, they are implementing a solution based on SAP BRIM & Microsoft Dynamics CE.
Data-Core Systems Inc. is seeking a SAP BRIM Data Migration Architect to be a part of our Consulting team. You will participate and effectively contribute to the design, development, and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies. You will provide technical expertise and systems design for individual initiatives. You will have an opportunity to work with other SME consultants from our existing team.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Data Migration Strategy & Architecture
  • Lead the overall architecture, planning, and execution of SAP BRIM data migration initiatives.
  • Define migration strategy, frameworks, standards, governance, and best practices for SAP BRIM implementations.
  • Design end-to-end migration solutions for customer, contract account, subscription, billing, invoicing, payments, and financial data.
  • Assess legacy system data structures and map them to SAP BRIM target models.
  • Develop migration roadmaps, cutover strategies, and reconciliation approaches.

SAP BRIM Solution Support
  • Support SAP BRIM modules including:
    • SAP Convergent Charging (CC).
    • SAP Convergent Invoicing (CI).
    • SAP Subscription Order Management (SOM).
    • SAP Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA).
    • SAP Billing and Revenue Innovation Management integrations.
  • Ensure alignment between migration design and BRIM business processes.

Data Analysis & Transformation
  • Perform data profiling, cleansing, transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities.
  • Define and implement data quality controls and governance processes.
  • Create source-to-target mapping documents and transformation rules.
  • Identify and resolve data inconsistencies and migration defects.

Technical Leadership
  • Provide leadership to migration developers, analysts, and technical teams.
  • Oversee development and execution of ETL processes, migration scripts, and automation tools.
  • Coordinate with SAP Basis, security, infrastructure, and integration teams.
  • Review technical specifications and ensure adherence to architecture standards.

Testing & Validation
  • Support unit testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and mock conversions.
  • Lead reconciliation and validation activities to ensure migrated data accuracy and completeness.
  • Support performance tuning and optimization of migration processes.

Cutover & Deployment
  • Develop and execute migration cutover plans.
  • Support production deployment and hypercare activities.
  • Coordinate migration activities during go-live events and stabilization periods.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Documentation
  • Work closely with business users and functional leads to gather migration requirements.
  • Present migration status, risks, and recommendations to project leadership.
  • Maintain architecture documentation, migration runbooks, and operational procedures.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to internal teams.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • 8+ years of SAP experience with at least:
    • 5 years focused on SAP BRIM.
    • 5 years leading enterprise data migration initiatives.
  • Proven experience architecting and executing SAP BRIM data migrations in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • SAP FI-CA.
    • SOM.
    • Convergent Charging.
    • Convergent Invoicing.
  • Strong experience with SAP migration tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with:
    • SAP Data Services (BODS).
    • SAP Migration Cockpit.
    • ETL/Data integration tools.
    • SQL and data analysis.
    • Data modeling and mapping.
  • Experience integrating SAP BRIM with:
    • SAP S/4HANA.
    • CRM.
    • CI/CD and middleware platforms.
    • Third-party billing or subscription systems.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Data governance.
    • Data quality management.
    • Reconciliation and audit controls.
  • Ability to lead technical workshops and stakeholder discussions.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in utility, telecommunications, subscription, or high-volume billing environments.
  • Experience with cloud-based SAP environments (RISE with SAP, Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Experience supporting Agile and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
  • Previous consulting or contractor experience on enterprise transformation programs.

Required Education and Certifications:
One or more of the following preferred:
  • SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP Billing and Revenue Innovation Management.
  • SAP Certified Technology Associate.
  • SAP S/4HANA certifications.
  • SAP Data Services certification.
  • SAP Activate Project Manager certification.
  • AWS, Azure, or cloud architecture certifications (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
